About the Author

Melanie Folkes-Mayers is a multi-award winning entrepreneur, human resources professional, career coach, speaker and teacher; with a Masters in Human Resources Management and Chartered MCIPD qualified.

Melanie is the Founder and Managing Director of Eden Mayers HR Consulting; with over 20 years of experience of providing strategic, operational HR support and advice to organisations from multinational conglomerates to small local businesses.

Melanie’s passion is getting leaders to be proactive with the way they lead, motivate and manage their staff, as it’s the very best way to avoid or mitigate HR drama.

When she’s not supporting her clients, Melanie is kept busy with her husband and two daughters, exploring the UK and travelling the world.

Melanie is also a British Athletics qualified run leader; wherever she goes her running shoes go with her so that she can continue her early morning ritual of prayer, meditation and exercise.
